Molly Sterner
As a proud descendant of the Pennsylvania Dutch and a Millersville University alum, the people of Lancaster County and the Plain community have a special place in Molly’s heart. During her genetic counseling training program at Thomas Jefferson University, Molly completed a clinical rotation at the Clinic, allowing her to further engage with the community and their culture while gaining professional experience.
During her time at the Clinic, Molly was able to engage with research initiatives, learn how to advocate for patients’ needs, and build connections with families.
“I currently work as a clinical genetic counselor at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper and use the skills I developed at the Clinic each day at work to improve the care I provide to my own patients. The experience offered by the Clinic, its staff, and the families they serve was invaluable to me and to my patients. Students looking for a unique and supportive experience during their training should absolutely consider applying for the opportunity to rotate with the Clinic.”
