Amy will focus on screening and diagnostic use of the PIP in the primary care setting: \n\nUtility of PIP for both general carrier screening and diagnostic workup of a symptomatic patient\nKnowing the patient–through detailed family history\, learning the patient’s background (Amish or Mennonite)—and when to suspect genetic condition\nOverview of the more common conditions seen in Amish and Mennonite populations\nWhen PIP is not the most useful tool.\n\nThe July 8th session will focus on how the genetic counselors at the Clinic for Special Children provide individual analyses of these tests for patients and provide test results to the ordering clinicians. It will detail how to order the test and process the blood specimens. \nEach session will include the presentation and time for questions from participants—promptly ending by 1 p.m. A Zoom link for the each program will be sent a few days prior. \n  \nThe talk series can be accessed through the Zoom details below. \nTalks from our inaugural Cultural Considerations for Clinicians: Caring for the Plain Community are available to access for your own education HERE or you can register to view the talks to be eligible for CME credits HERE. \nFor more information on this series\, please contact Stephen Ratcliffe\, MD\, MSPH at sratcliffe@clinicforspecialchildren.org or queries@clinicforspecialchildren.org. \n\nHere is the link for this program: \nJoin Zoom Meeting \nhttps://wellspan.zoom.us/j/92815011440?pwd=VzJ1c1FaR242TkhMTEo1UWg3VCtnQT09 \n  \nMeeting ID: 928 1501 1440 \nPasscode: 706049 \nOne tap mobile \n+16468769923\,\,92815011440#\,\,\,\,0#\,\,706049# US (New York) \n  \nDial by your location \n        +1 646 876 9923 US (New York) \nMeeting ID: 928 1501 1440 \nPasscode: 706049 \nFind your local number: https://wellspan.zoom.us/u/am7MvWJLG \n  \nJoin by SIP \n92815011440@zoomcrc.com \n  \nJoin by H.323 \n162.255.37.11 (US West) \n162.255.36.11 (US East) \nMeeting ID: 928 1501 1440 \nPasscode: 706049
